1. Open meeting @ 7:04pm

2. Secretary’s Report

               a. Check download ability on the website. If people can’t download, please contact Roberta so she                can reformat the upload process.

3. Treasurer’s Report

               a. Handed out for review

               b. Paid out 1 more scholarship

               c. Bank CD is about to expire (5/16/10)

               c. Discussed CD and Scholarship rates

               d. League voted on where to place CD / Scholarship: Voted to keep at Sovereign with CWSL                accounts.

4. New Business

               a. Rain Out Games: Must be made up by the 2^nd Thursday after rain out.

               b. Town Meeting (May 17^th)

* Town will be voting on building new fields. New fields will probably be used for the kids leagues. But this will free up the current fields use for Women’s & Men’s League.

                              * Fields will be built on Savery Lane in Carver

* Rec Committee would like CWSL members who are able to, attend meeting to advocate for the building of the new fields.

                              * Meeting will be held at Carver High School

               c. Ice Packs: All teams have ice packs accept for Mama Mia’s. Lori will deliver them on Monday

               d. Umpire Payments

                              * Roberta will get  all addresses of all umpires from Head Ump ~> Mike

                              * Payments will be made directly to umpires to lessen confusion

                              * Roberta will check in regards to how much we pay the umps each game ($35/game?)

5. Topics / Follow-Ups

               a. Key to concession / bathroom on Women’s & Men’s Field

                              * Roberta is still keeping in touch with the Rec Committee and little league but has not                                 received a definitive response

                              * If Little League doesn’t respond, the town will have to take down the door and replace                               the lock for use.

               b. Catcher’s Mask

                              * Seem to be working out well

* All teams have received their helmets accept for Poland Springs. Lori will be bringing it to their next game for use

                              * A CWSL player has submitted a letter to the board for permission to waive the Mask

                              Rule because of personal concern. League voted 4/3 against waiver. Mask Rule will

                              Apply to all players for the safety of a catcher, and peace of mind for fielders and at bat.

               c. Golf Tournament

                              * Discussed the option of combining it with the Men’s League

                              * League voted unanimous in favor of playing with the Men

                              * League will propose to Men that we play on Saturday 7/31 verses their scheduled date                                               Friday, 7/30

                              * Location: Pembroke Country Club

                              * Fits 140 golfers

                              * Combining with the Men will mean more golfers

                              * League’s will split profits 50/50

                              * Men and Women will form one committee to run the tournament

               d. Car Wash Update

                              * Need new location (No longer @ Walmart)

                              * Will table to next meeting to wait for Cindy (MM)

               e. All star Game

                              * 6/26/10 @ The Men’s Field in Carver

                              * Awaiting Menu from Tra (Roberta will contact Tra for more information)

               f. Banquet

                              * Will be held on 9/11/10 @ Garabaldi Club

                              * Awaiting menu from Tra (Roberta will contact)

               g. Scholarship Update

                              * Paid out an additional scholarship

                              * 7 out of 10 paid out (2009)

                              * Have selected 6 awardees  (2010)
