Treasurer's Report:
a. Scholarship CD @ lower rate

Business:
a. Scholarship Committee: Confirmed (JR, Sandy, and
Kelly Musial)
b. Banquet: All set for 9/20/08 @
the Middleboro Elks Club 6p-11p (Lori will sign contract and drop deposit) Will discuss menu at next meeting.
c. All Star Game: Steven's Field,
Plymouth, Ma. Awaiting reply from application.
d. Golf Tournament: Squirrel Run
available 8/8/08 < Planned date
3. New
Purchase Street Field and Overall Field Maintenance:
a. Estimate for new field $6,000-$7,000
b. Possibly looking for outside
vendors to minimize costs
c. Field maintenance approximately
$1,000 / year ($250/field)
d. Rec will pay for fencing and
backstops
e. Rec will have to do a walk
through prior to constructing the new field
f.
We still need to come to an agreement as to what the $1,000 maintenance fee will include from Tony (Men's League)
g.
If the new field is built we will be receiving a field permit for Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Thursdays (rain outs) on that field
h. The new field would start on
April 1st, and finished by mid May
i. Vote for new field:

Men's League $3,500 for new field and maintenance

Field Clean-Up Day:
a. Scheduled for 5/3/08 @ 10:00am
b. Trash, leaves, paint, clean
dugouts
c. Lori Ford will call for paint
donations, and relay outcome to Cindy Beard
d. Cindy Beard will look into donations
from Aubuchon
e. Keri & Roberta will be
attending the Rec Meeting (3/6/08) to let Rec Committee know of the clean up day.
f.
Tony from the Men's League said he would put on new roofs to the dugouts,
looking for quotes
g. After Clean-Up Day...Possible
pick-up game if enough players attend

Field Permit:
a. The permit was submitted for
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (for rain)
b. The Recreation Committee has not
approved ANY permits, and will not until all leagues
have submitted permits
c. Awaiting Recreation finalization

Registration:
a. League Fee due 4/29/08 = $75
(CWSL Meeting @ library)

c. Will finalize which teams need players at next
meeting

e. Flyers: Flyers are on the CWSL
website. We need people to post as many as possible
to get the word out for players

Pre-Season Round Robin:
a. Bourne League interested in
having a tournament with Carver
b. Suggests that we play in Carver
b/c Bourne only has one field
c. Motion made for tournament on
5/10/08 in Carver (Unanimous vote)
d. Kerri will speak with Bourne
League to present CWSL decision
e. Use of field's will be presented
to Rec Committee on (3/6/08)

Business:
a. Balls: Men's league uses Worth Elite .44 core 400
compression, $39-$41 / dozen
b. CWSL uses Dudley .47 core 500
compression @ $45 / dozen.
c. Vote was made to use yellow .44 core 400 compression, $39-$41 / dozen. Motion made, unanimous vote
