2.     Secretary’s Report / Treasurer’s Report

a.      Umpire payment update

Roberta forgot the printouts; she will have them for the next meeting

 

3.     New Business

a.      Reminder-have Umpire sign both home and away team scorebooks.

Everyone will have then start to sign as of 6/13 games (tomorrow)

 

4.  July 4th Parade Committee

a.      Collect posters

Got posters from Plympton, Danubio, Kerri has Bm Posters; Berta has Hd and Upland posters

b.     Truck washing/Decorating Day – 4th of July is on Wed –what’s our plan for preparation

Need to find out from Bubba about truck, we don’t have to wash Kingston trucks.  Decorate Monday. Tuesday night and Wed AM

c.     Budget/shopping-what do we need-candy.

League voted to spend no more than 175.00 for parade.

d.     We need help to prepare and we need riders – who’s can help?

Lori Nickerson from Danubio, Upland has a few riders, and HD team, BM usually has a good turn out for riders also.

 

5.  All-Star Game

a.      Update on shirt order – have they been ordered?  When will they be ready?

Shirts ordered, will be ready 6/26

b.     Reps to come to 7/10/07 meeting with All-Star selections (4 per team and 1 alternate).

All teams will have them by 7/10 meeting.  Roberta to give PDF form of flyer from last year so Lori can make one for this year.

c.     Do we need to do anything more for field use-pick up key for lights from Plymouth Town Hall-Roberta to call and find out.

Berta will call town back and find out.

d.     Discuss coaches.

Usually it is 1st and 2nd place teams from previous season, but considering we don’t have southers the first option will go to Mike from Upland and Candi from BM.  If one of them can’t or doesn’t want too then there have been other coaches that have express interest.

e.      Team format suggestion: TEAM A 1, 4,6; TEAM B 2,3,5.  Vote.  Teams will be determined based on standings at July meeting 7/10/07 (1,4,6 and 2,3,5).

Sounds like everyone agreed that this is the best way, still told them to check with their teams to see if they had any ideas about format.

e.      Volunteer to collect money for HR Derby

????????? Possibly Natalie- she may be out of town???????

f.       Volunteer to sell 50/50 raffle tickets

Cindy from Danubio will take care of this and she will grab a team mate to help her.

 

6.  Golf/Scholarship Committee Update

a.      Distribute Forms (also available on website)

Gave out forms to everyone

b.     Spread the word to your team mates-get donations and golfers-It really is a great time-and a good cause!

Talked about if everyone in the league just got 1 sponsor / raffle item then we would have a good turn out.  Rather then the committee running around like crazy.

 

7.  Reminders

g.     Are there last minute rafters?    It’s not too late to sign up.

Danubio did a great job at getting rafters!  Thank you!

h.     Submit your digital photos for the banquet slide show to Lori Ford lori.ford@Comcast.net.

        8. Misc

Cindi- thinks that we should have a meeting for all the players.  Players that just come to the games and really don’t know what it takes for the board and reps to keep the league running and see what goes into the season.

 

All teams and players need to be more aware of the neighbors at the Men’s and women’s field, we have gotten a few complaints from them.  The last thing we need is to have the complaints get back to the town and were we are having such field issues for them to take then away from us.

Umpires- Need to let them know that the really can’t make calls just to get the game over with.  Issue with Jimmy and a call with the game HD vs Clark 6/11.
