Notes:

Head Umpire Mike McKenney was with us for the beginning of the meeting to discuss this years changes to improve the attendance of the umpires.

• The Umpire rate has gone up to $30 a game
• Umpires will be schedule to the same fields in hopes to eliminate some of the confusion we dealt with last year.

We discussed a situation that does not happen often in our league but just incase it does we wanted to remind all the teams of what would happen.

• If a player gets thrown out of the game, it becomes an out every time it is their turn up at bat as per USSSA Rules.

Field Permits

All teams must carry the field permits incase somebody questions us.

Last year we had a situation in the Playoffs with the little league kids and their parents were walking in the outfield. This year to avoid it from happening, we ask that the home team coach approach the adult in charge of the Little League and ask them politely to stay off the field when finishing their practice. CWSL is permitted to use the fields Mondays and Wednesdays 5:00-8:00PM, Thusdays for make-up games, from 4/17/06-8/30/06. If they give anyone any trouble you can show them the permit letting them know that we are the only one’s permitted on the field. If you get any negative feed back from the adults the team rep may call Kenny Kinsey at 508-866-7506 or Marie Vitale at 508-866-9486. Let them know of the situation and they will take care of it.

The Practice Schedule and Game Schedule were handed out.

They will be posted on the Website as soon as soon as possible.

2006 Season Kick off Srimmage

The week before the games are scheduled we will have a scrimmage week to help all the teams be prepared.

Rules and explanation of scrimmages

All three teams will play full 7 inning games on Wednesday 5/10/06 night at 6:00

The team with the most runs of all 6 teams will earn a buy for First Game on Monday 5/15/06

First Game Monday 5/15/06 will be at 6:00.

All games Monday 5/15/06 night will be 1 pitch, 5 inning games.

It will be against the other two winners from Wednesday.

Second game Monday night will be against the winner of game one and the team that earned a buy from Monday night. See Lorraine questions.

WINNERS Receive a $50 reward.

Donations

CWSL has decided to give a little money away to help the younger kids get better educations.

The money will be going a charity called “Enterprise Newspaper in Education”

The charity asks for a $25 donation to whichever school you choose.

Of the schools that were on the list, a total of $100 ($25 each) went to the following schools.

• Carver Middle School
• Cold Spring Elementary School (Plymouth)
• N. Pembroke Elementary
• HBB Burkland School (Middleboro)

Registration

The money for all players is due by the next meeting on May 10, 2006.

All team reps must bring all signed registrations and money.
